The screen shots and description below provide a brief overview of the ComponentOne DataGrid for SharePoint. Visit the How to Get Started page to learn more details.

  1. On-Board Designer: The Edit Web Part button opens the On-Board Designer (pictured below). This is where you can navigate to your data source and configure your data view. The On-Board Designer opens in the Web Part area and doesn't require a page reload or edit mode. You can make the On-Board Designer accessible only to page designers or you can allow end-users to access it to personalize their own views.
  2. Group by Column: Drag column headings to the grouping bar to group by those columns.
  3. Sort Columns: Click on a column heading to sort by that column.
  4. Filter: Use the full-featured filtering tool to display only the data you want see. Each column has its own filter.
  5. Nested Tables: Once master-detail relationships are set up, nested tables are viewed by clicking a drop-down arrow in each row.
  6. Add/Edit Data: Use the grid as an interface to your data by allowing users to add and edit data.
  7. Scroll: The entire table is loaded into the grid and is available for smooth scrolling. No paging or refreshes are required.
