Expand and contract the content panel with built-in animation effects using ComponentOne Expander™ for ASP.NET AJAX. Using multiple stacked C1Expander controls you can create navigation that is similar to the classic C1WebTopicBar control.

The expander control is able to expand in several different directions. Using the ExpandDirection property, you can set whether the control expands to the Top, Right, Bottom, or Left.

  • Rich Content

You can show external content in the dialog window of C1Expander. This can be content of another Web page in your project or content of a Web site outside of your project.

  • Animation Effects

C1Expander includes 26 different built-in animation effects that can be set when the control is expanded or collapsed. You can also customize how animations are transitioned using the 31 built-in animation transition options.

  • Animation Transition Options

Expander includes 31 different built-in animation transition options, such as linear or elastic easing, that allow you to customize how animation effects are transitioned.

  • Animation Duration Effects

You also have the ability to modify the length of the animation effects using the Duration properties. The unit of time is in milliseconds, with the default value set at 500 milliseconds (or half a second). You can increase this value for longer animation effect, and decrease this number for a shorter animation effect.

  • Expandable/Collapsible Expander on Page Load

Set whether the control is expanded or collapsed on page load. By default, the control initially appears expanded showing the content.

  • Built-in Visual Styles

The expander control, C1Expander, has 5 built-in styles, allowing you to style the expander by setting just one property. Consistently style your Web applications; choose from ArcticFox, Microsoft Office 2007 Black, Blue and Silver as well as Windows Vista style.

  • CSS Support

Use a cascading style sheet (CSS) style to define custom skins. CSS support allows you to match the expander to your organization's standards.
