Product Roadmap 2012
2012 plans to be a big year of new technologies and tools. Studio for WinForms has three major releases each year (mid-March, mid-July and mid-November). Read below to find out what major items are expected in Studio for WinForms.
New Mapping Field in C1ReportDesigner
Display maps in your reports using ComponentOne Reports and the C1ReportDesigner application.
New GanttView Beta
Schedule tasks in a GanttChart control similar to Microsoft Project. This new control is based off the popular C1FlexGrid and will include many expected features such as progress bars, dependencies, resources, user interaction and summaries.
Visual Studio 11 Support
Our first major release of 2012 will include complete support for Visual Studio 11. This support will include any minor bugs found when testing in the new environment with the latest .NET framework.
With the release of Windows 8 tablets the need for touch ready applications will grow. In 2012 we plan to add support for advanced touch gestures across the entire Studio for WinForms where applicable.
The first major release in 2012 will include many significant enhancements across the entire studio. C1PdfDocument will support EMF+, C1XLBook will support loading and saving CSV formatted files, and several controls will have improved handling of text-wrapping for Japanese, Chinese and Korean text.
